Municipal Library „B. P. Hasdeu” announces the launch of the Reading Program Chisinau reads, the XXIth edition, which will take place on February 13, at 11:00, at the Headquarters of the institution.

The event will feature the three book titles, included in this year's Reading Programme, which were selected by a jury, consisting of writers, literary critics and librarians.

The start of the current edition „Chisinau reads” will be given with the presentation of the author and volume for the − Doggy category, signed by Maria Pilchin, which will be awarded by Viorica-Ela Caraman, literary critic. The presentation will be completed by a public reading held by Nicu Ciumasu, actor at the National Theatre „Mihai Eminescu”.

The book selected for the teen category − With the novel on vacation, by Grigore Chiper will be presented by writer Moni Stanila, after which the public reading provided by Nina Lefter, actress, will continue, Poetic Theatre „Alexei Mateevici” / Republican Theatre „Licurici”.

The third presentation, the adult category − Bound with the rope, by Lorina Balteanu, will be supported by writer and journalist Paula Erizanu. Here it will end with the public reading given by Nicolae Jelescu, actor and director of the Poetic Theatre „Alexei Mateevici”.

The event will be moderated by Mariana Harjevschi, general manager of BM „B. P. Hasdeu”. Writers, literary critics, culture people and reading enthusiasts are invited.

During the „Chisinau Program, read”: February-November 2024, various public events will be organized within the library: book presentations, meetings with authors, literary conferences, theatrical staging, etc., literary conferences (month of November) are scheduled for the end.

 „Chisinau read” is a community involvement project, launched in 2004 and carried out annually.
