A delegation from the Chisinau City Hall, led by Deputy Mayor Ilie Ceban, is participating in the European Mayors' Summit Against Antisemitism 2023, taking place in Dortmund, Germany, from November 29 to December 1, 2023.

The event brings together municipal officials, diplomats, business leaders, and community activists from over 20 countries and 65 cities.

The participants in the Summit have the mission to share the challenges they face in the collective effort against antisemitism and provide pragmatic solutions to promote cultural diversity. This is especially important in the current critical period in human history, with prejudices and extremism on the rise in Europe and around the world.

The Summit facilitates the exchange of innovative approaches and professional insights from city to city, aiming to identify best practices for building social harmony, promoting tolerance, and fostering understanding in all spheres through cultural and sports activities.

Deputy Mayor Ilie Ceban had the opportunity to share Chisinau's experience in addressing antisemitism at the local level and establishing relationships with multiple cities.

It is worth noting that the Chisinau City Hall has a positive collaboration with the Jewish Community of the Republic of Moldova. Together, they have implemented several projects in schools, kindergartens, and socio-cultural initiatives.
