On Tuesday, the Chisinau Municipal Council approved the collaboration agreement between the Chisinau Municipality and the National   Inbound Tourism Association of Moldova (ANTRIM), which provides for the development of the tourist identity and the promotion of the capital as a tourist destination.

The overall target of the Agreement is to develop and strengthen the joint activities of the parties, in order to implement tourism projects of common interest, based on the annual action plan agreed by the parties and approved by the Deputy Mayor.

According to the Collaboration Agreement, in the period 2020-2021, Chisinau City Hall, together with ANTRIM will implement projects and actions to promote tourism, such as the development of Chisinau's tourism identity and the municipal tourism strategy for 2020- 2025; initiating a campaign to inform the residents of the municipality about the tourist attractions in the city "AskMeAboutChisinau"; elaboration of promotional materials with tourist attractions in the city in the international languages ​​(an official guide of the Chisinau city, map, schedule of events, etc.) creating online platforms with information about tourist and leisure, entertainment attractions and a program of events, creation and promotion thematic tourist routes, including the tourist trolleybus, etc.

According to the report on the draft decision, Roman Vitiuc, head of the General Department of Economy, Trade and Tourism, the measures envisaged in the document will be carried out by ANTRIM and the relevant departments. "The action plan in this regard will be developed annually being agreed by the parties. At the same time, resources will be provided for the implementation of measures to promote Chisinau as a tourist destination," the head of the General Department of Economy, Trade and Tourism said.

The Chisinau Municipal Council approved the updated version of the Agreement of the Collaboration with ANTRIM, based on current needs.
