Ion Ceban, the General Mayor participated on Monday, September 28, in the General Assembly of the members of the National Association for Inbound Tourism in Moldova (ANTRIM). During the event, organized in the context of World Tourism Day, participants addressed issues regarding the development of tourism in Chisinau.

The Mayor of the capital mentioned that the local public administration authorities will support, based on the cooperation agreement, the projects launched by ANTRIM, as well as the activity of the Tourist Information Center located in the Chisinau City Hall building.

"Our goal is to promote Chisinau as an attractive tourist destination. We aim to attract the curiosity of tourists to visit the Republic of Moldova and especially the capital, where 80% of the total objectives that provide accommodation services, cultural institutions of national importance and historical places are concentrated ", Ion Ceban said.

The Chisinau City Hall and the National Association for Inbound Tourism in the Republic of Moldova concluded at the beginning of this year a collaboration agreement for the development of inbound tourism in the capital. The purpose of the document is to develop and strengthen cooperation in the field of promoting Chisinau as a tourist destination and attracting tourists.
