Ion Ceban, the General Mayor participated today, with a communication, in the discussion session entitled "Mayors of smart cities", within the International Forum "Kazan Digital Week - 2020", Russian Federation.

The current edition of the event is taking place online, on September 21-24, 2020, through the ZOOM conference platform.

During the Forum, the Mayor of Chisinau emphasized the role of communication and exchange of experience between cities in Europe, Asia, CIS countries, which are strongly developed in various Smart fields. "I appreciate the information presented, whose potential could be exploited and implemented in our country. We will gladly participate in such meetings, because it offers us an open door to new visions and ideas ", Ion Ceban mentioned.

At the same time, the Mayor of the capital also referred to the current concerns of the municipal authorities to introduce the intelligent management of traffic in the city, the implementation of the electronic toll system, the management of parking lots, etc. "Chisinau is at a disadvantage, especially in the fields of transport, infrastructure, investment and economy, so necessary for the modernization of the city," the General Mayor concluded.
