The City Center for Young Naturalists was visited on Monday by representatives of the German Embassy in Chisinau and the Federal Agency for Technical Relief. The guests came with a donation of goods for refugee children.
The donated goods to the center contains computer equipment, appliances, office supplies, sports inventory, toys, toiletries and sweets.
The event was attended by the deputy mayor of the capital, Angela Cutasevici, Andrei Pavaloi, deputy head of the General Department of Education, Youth and Sports of the Chisinau Municipal Council and officials of the municipal subdivision.
At the same time, starting with Monday, April 11, the Center launched the second stage of the GREEN GATE project "Spring for children from Ukraine". Thus begins the integration of children of refugee families from Ukraine into Center groups.
It is worth mentioning that the first stage of the COTN GREEN GATE camp "Spring for children from Ukraine" was held between March 4 and April 8. During this period of educational services, a total of 118 children between the ages of 4 and 13 benefited. Excursions, visits to the theater, outings were organized for children. The visited locations include: Zoo, Village Museum, Museum of Ethnography and History, Mihai Eminescu Library, Botanical Garden, Parliament of Moldova, Licurici Theater, amusement park from Valea Trandafirilor. The children were offered the assistance of qualified specialists, in a comfortable, favorable and friendly atmosphere. The camp had guests Mendeleev-show, CLOUNELLA band, Ion Creangă Theater.
The City Center for Young Naturalists is an extracurricular educational institution, the only one in the republic focused directly on the ecological education of children. 1367 children between the ages of 6 and 19 are studying at the institution.
