Ion Ceban, General Mayor is on a working visit to Bucharest, Romania, organized by the Congress of Local Authorities of the Republic of Moldova, within the Concept of City Manager and its impact on Local Public Administration.
On Thursday, the mayor of the capital had a meeting with members of the Association of Romanian Municipalities, where he discussed with the mayors of cities across the Prut about projects, programs, problems and solutions for the development of urban communities.
Ion Ceban had a first meeting with the Mayor of Sector 4, of Bucharest, Daniel Băluță. The mayors discussed the projects currently being carried out by the City Hall of Sector 4, social and economic programs, as well as the digitization of Smart City services.
The General Mayor mentioned that Bucharest has been working for several years on the development of the Smart City concept, so their experience is useful for Chisinau, giving the fact that the municipality has already launched all these processes.
According to the Mayor, a group of specialists from the City Hall of Sector 4 will be coming to Chisinau in the near future to share their experience. "Other cities and sectors experience, as well as the exchange of good practices are welcome at any time. We have a lot of ideas, so the takeover from the experience of our colleagues will have a positive impact on the city citizens"
During the day, Ion Ceban has scheduled several meetings with mayors, representatives and specialists of the Bucharest Local Administration. The visit was organized by the Congress of Local Public Authorities of the Republic of Moldova (CALM) within the framework of the City Manager Concept and its impact on Local Public Administration.
