Chisinau City Hall informs that during the period: 14 - October 20, 2024, the employees of the "Exdrupo" Company and the economic agents contracted by the General Department of Urban Mobility were involved in the completion of major objectives initiated this year, and in parallel, the intervention was carried out to liquidate the damage situations on the road surface of public roads, especially in the areas of residential blocks / accesses to the courtyards, but also in the localities of the Gratiesti, Bubuieci and Hulboaca village.
At the same time, on A. Pushkin Street, the fortification works continue on the road between Mihail Kogalniceanu and Alexei Shchusev Streets, where the foundation has collapsed, and the milling and stripping, gravel and asphalting works are being carried out.
Curbs were installed on Trandafirilor and Bucuriei streets, and on Stefan Neaga street work was carried out on the accesses to the courtyards.
Cleaning and maintenance of the storm drains was also carried out during the period. Thus, about 100 receptors were cleaned of leaves and rubbish, and about 40 other elements of the pluvial system were repaired, by installing fountains, cast iron covers, replacing gratings and concrete elements, as well as laying 200 linear meters of pipe.
In order to increase traffic safety, work has continued over the past week to renovate road markings, mainly at pedestrian crossings, but also the various markings (arrows, lines, Buss) on Gheorghe Asachi Street, where the lane dedicated to public transport was previously applied.
At the same time, 80 road signs have been replaced or newly installed, and another 67 units have been repaired.
Next, there will follow the installation of signs on the arteries where new dedicated lanes have been laid: bd. Decebal, Alba Iulia and Gheorghe Asachi streets.
As part of the projects contracted by the General Department of Urban Mobility, work continued on the rehabilitation of sidewalks on Mihai Eminescu and Mihail Kogalniceanu streets, the capital repair of the bridge on Mihai Viteazul Street, as well as the improvement of access roads to educational institutions in the city, and access roads to suburbs.
