Chisinau City Hall informs that a group of 9 persons residing in Chisinau municipality took the oath today, to grant or regain the citizenship of the Republic of Moldova, in the presence of the deputy mayor of the capital, Angela Cutasevici. Persons granted the citizenship of the Republic of Moldova originate from the Russian Federation, Ukraine and Turkmenistan. Of these, 7 persons obtained the citizenship of our state, and 2 persons regained it. During the past year, 62 people living in Chisinau

Chisinau City Hall informs that a group of 9 persons residing in Chisinau municipality took the oath today, to grant or regain the citizenship of the Republic of Moldova, in the presence of the deputy mayor of the capital, Angela Cutasevici.

Persons granted the citizenship of the Republic of Moldova originate from the Russian Federation, Ukraine and Turkmenistan. Of these, 7 persons obtained the citizenship of our state, and 2 persons regained it.

During the past year, 62 people living in Chisinau obtained citizenship of the Republic of Moldova, including 18 in 2021.

In accordance with the legislation in force, in order to obtain or regain the citizenship of the Republic of Moldova, applicants must take an examination of knowledge of the language and history of the state, as well as national legislation. A special government commission examines the file, after which the decree of the President of the Republic of Moldova is issued. Subsequently, the applicants take the oath before the General Mayor of the municipality or the district (raion) president.
