Ion Ceban, the General Mayor, inspected the arrangement works of the "Alleys of creative artists, sales exhibition" in the Park of the Metropolitan Cathedral "Nativity of the Lord". The goal, which will soon become a new tourist attraction in the capital, is to be put into operation in May, this year
The capital's Mayor was accompanied by representatives of the Turkish Agency for International Cooperation (TICA), which is contributing financially to the project.
The arrangement works of the alley are at the completion stage, and currently the municipal services are rehabilitating the surrounding green spaces.
During the inspection, Ion Ceban mentioned that through this project the municipality aims to create decent conditions for people who previously sold paintings in the "Mihai Eminescu" square, recently renovated, as well as arranging an area to attract guests of the capital.
Thus, the project for the "Alley of creative artists, sales exhibition" provides for the installation of 20 concrete platforms, which will serve as support for exhibition and sale of works. The stands are equipped with heating system, furniture (seats) and decorative night lighting. A new pavement was also installed in the alley area.
It is worth mentioning that for the arrangements of the area were used financial sources provided by (TICA) - 80 thousand USD, as well as 700 thousand lei allocated from the municipal budget.
