The new Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Moldova visited the Chisinau City Hall on Wednesday.
His Excellency Mr. Levan Diasamidze was received by the deputy mayors of the capital, Mrs. Olga Ursu and Mrs. Angela Cutasevici.
During the meeting, officials discussed about the development of cooperative relations between Chisinau and Tbilisi, twin cities through the agreement reached in 2012.
In this context, Deputy Mayor Olga Ursu kept to inform the Georgian diplomat about the activities and projects initiated in recent years by the Chisinau City Hall. The deputy mayor also mentioned that in the autumn of this year the municipality will organize the Chisinau Economic Forum, where the representatives of the Georgian business environment are welcome. Chisinau will offer to interested investors about 60 economic and financial profiles.
For his part, H.E. Mr. Levan Diasamidze noted that it is open to boosting collaboration between Tbilisi and Chisinau. At the same time, the Georgian official appreciated the efforts made by the City Hall Executive on the good management of the Ukrainian refugee crisis.
Also, an important topic addressed by officials during the talks was the initiation of cooperation in the field of tourism and the mutual promotion of the identity of both cities - Chisinau and Tbilisi.
