The General Mayor of Chisinau, Ion Ceban, had a meeting today with a delegation of the European Investment Bank (EIB), which concluded its mission to monitor ongoing projects in Chisinau.

For a week, the specialists monitored and informed about the stage of implementation of the ongoing projects, financed by the EIB and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

During the meeting, the parties discussed the degree of implementation of projects in the capital, the difficulties identified, as well as solutions to avoid future stagnation at certain stages of EIB- and EBRD-funded programs.

The mayor mentioned that the Chisinau City Hall will continue the projects initiated with external partners and will come up with other initiatives in this regard.

"We had a constructive discussion with EIB representatives. We intend to continue collaborating on the modernization of the vital sectors for the capital. These refer to infrastructure, energy efficiency, water supply and sewerage, but also in the field of solid waste management ", mentioned Ion Ceban.

In turn, EIB representatives were open to support the development initiatives of Chisinau.
