General Mayor Ion Ceban welcomed today a delegation from the Romanian Youth Organizations to the Chisinau City Hall.

Present at the discussions were the Director of the Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre, Petru Grecu, the President of the National Youth Foundation of Romania, Mihai Adrian Vîlcea, the Vice-President of the Timisoara County Youth Foundation, Nadia Tismănaru, and the specialist in youth policies from the National Youth Foundation of Romania, Yolanda Florescu.

The purpose of the visit to Chisinau of the Romanian representatives is to strengthen the cooperation relations in the youth field between the Chisinau City Hall and the Romanian Youth Organizations, in the context of the Municipal Youth Forum to be held on Sunday, 26 May 2024.

During the discussions, the Mayor General thanked the youth organizations for their active involvement in various activities for the benefit of young people from both countries, stressing the importance of continuing and developing new joint projects.

The participants in the discussions also addressed the topics related to the initiative of the Municipal Youth Centre joining the European Agency for Youth Counselling and Information, the accreditation of the centre with the quality label by the Council of Europe, as well as the provision of support in this regard by the National Youth Foundation of Romania, including support for the achievement of the title of European Youth Capital in 2027.

The Municipal Youth Centre has been collaborating with Romanian Youth Organisations since 2019, carrying out various projects, exchanges of experience and other activities related to promoting the active involvement of young people in community life.
