Chisinau Municipality represented at the 6th UNESCO International Conference of Learning Cities
The Chisinau City Hall and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova (CCI RM) today signed a cooperation agreement aimed at promoting and developing entrepreneurship at the level of the Chisinau municipality.
The purpose of the agreement is to establish and improve the economic and legal conditions for the efficient functioning of the business environment based on mutual interest in the development of the economic potential of the municipality, as well as to create an effective public-private partnership system in order to increase the competitiveness and investment attractiveness of Chisinau.
General Mayor Ion Ceban noted that the priority of the current administration of the Chisinau municipality is to improve the conditions for attracting investment in the capital and creating new jobs.
"About 65% of economic agents registered in the Republic of Moldova work in Chisinau, and therefore a joint initiative will promote local producers and their services. The first step in the cooperation between Chisinau City Hall and Chamber of Commerce and Industry was the organization of the Christmas Fair and the national exhibition "Made in Moldova". We thought over more joint events where we will promote our culture, as well as economic agents. I mean the holding of Chisinau Day in other capitals of the world. In this partnership, we plan to organize an Easter fair, and in October this year the Investment Forum in Chisinau will be held, "said the mayor general.
In his turn, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Mr. Sergiu Hari noted that the agenda of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be adjusted with the local agenda of the business environment in order to increase the competitiveness of Chisinau's economic agents and create a favorable investment climate. At the same time, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry will organize training for employees of the City Hall in the relevant fields of activity and will promote dual education in municipal enterprises.
