Chisinau City Hall informs that the first 15 used trolleybuses "SKODA 24 TR" and "Ganz Solaris Trollino 18" models, from the batch of 25 units, purchased from the municipality of Riga, Latvia, were delivered to Regia Transport Electric Chisinau (RTEC).

Currently, transport units are checked at the Regia Transport Electric Chisinau repair and assembly workshop before launching on municipal public transport lines.

The trolleybuses from Riga are equipped with a low floor and a folding ramp for the access of people with special needs, air conditioning systems and have video cameras for indoor surveillance.

At the same time, the classic trolley models "ŠKODA 24 TR" ( 99 seats) are equipped with an auxiliary system, the traction being carried out using the diesel engine ("Iveco"), offering a driving range of approximately 250 km. And the articulated trolleybuses model ‘Ganz Solaris Trollino 18’ (GLT-18) have increased boarding capacity, 170 seats, including 43 chair seats.

It is to be mentioned that another 10 trolley buses are to be taken to Chisinau in the forthcoming period. Thus, from the batch of 25 trolleybuses, 5 units are the model articulated ‘Ganz Solaris Trollino 18’ and 20 model trolleybuses ‘ŠKODA 24 TR’. All transport units have a 7-year guarantee.

We remind that at the beginning of September, five new articulated trolleybuses were put into circulation on the streets of Chisinau, which were assembled at the mechanical repair shops of Regia Transport Electric Chisinau (RTEC).
