On Wednesday, September 30^th,  Ion Ceban, the General Mayor had a meeting with Gabriela Cuevas Barron, the President of the Inter-parliamentary Union (IPU), who is on a working visit to Chisinau.

Discussions focused on bilateral cooperation between the Chisinau City Hall and the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the development of modernization projects, but also the implementation of cooperation agreements.

The Mayor of the capital said he was honored by the presence in Chisinau of the leadership IPU, which represents the international organization of parliaments of sovereign states, a forum that advocates for peace, cooperation between peoples and the promotion of democracy. "We presented the vision of the administration regarding the development strategies of the capital, the implementation of projects in various fields, cooperation with other cities, about the opening for new twinning agreements and exchange of experience", Ion Ceban mentioned.

At the same time, Ion Ceban stressed the importance of collaboration between all state institutions in order to increase the efficiency of the decisions taken and their implementation.
