Chisinau Municipality represented at the 6th UNESCO International Conference of Learning Cities
Chisinau City Hall informs that on Monday, February 03, 2020, the rehabilitation of the square in Bucuriei street, Buiucani District, has begun. The development project foresees the repair of sidewalks and walkways, the rehabilitation of green spaces, equipped with irrigation system and the replacement of urban furniture. Also, in the area will be arranged tracks for cyclists, and in the center of the square will be built an artesian fountain.
At the same time, in order to streamline the traffic, the Bucuriei street will be reopened, within the perimeter of the headquarters of the National Investigation Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with the arrangement of the territory in front of the building of the nominated institution, including the organization of parking places.
Ion Ceban, General Mayor, appreciated the initiative of the Buiucani District City Hall to arrange a new green area in the sector, in order to offer the citizens as many leisure spaces as possible. "We intend to renovate and arrange more parks and squares, so we want to bring to life the green areas of the city," said the mayor.
The square on the Bucuriei street has an area of 1.5 hectares, and the planning works will be completed by June 1, 2020.
