Chisinau City Hall informs that on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Municipal Enterprise House of the Romanian Language "Nichita Stănescu" and the Public Association National Alliance YMCA of the Republic of Moldova. The document is based on the consolidation of social inclusion efforts of refugees from Ukraine, temporarily staying in Chisinau.

Within the framework of this agreement, the National Alliance YMCA Moldova has donated a batch of computers to the Romanian Language House in order to improve the operational capacity and facilitate the teaching process within the institution.

It is worth mentioning that after the outbreak of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine, the Municipal Enterprise "Nichita Stănescu" House of the Romanian Language was one of the first municipal institutions to offer its support to provide free Romanian language lessons to Ukrainian refugees.

Since 12 April 2022, several groups of refugee students have been established at the House of Romanian Language, where 41 people have studied Romanian language.

In this context, the Deputy Mayor of the Capital, Angela Cutasevici, mentioned that the aim of these courses was to help Ukrainian refugees to learn the Romanian language, so that they could find a job more easily. "Currently, 15 Ukrainian refugee auditors are assigned to groups to study at the House of the Romanian Language. Once again, we thank the National YMCA Alliance of the Republic of Moldova for the support of the municipality", Angela Cutasevici concluded.

Earlier, the YMCA Moldova donated 1900 computers to the Chisinau City Hall as part of a project to increase digital skills among young people in the capital. And recently another batch of 25 computers was donated to the Municipal Incubator for Entrepreneurship Development.
