Ion Ceban, the General Mayor of Chisinau paid a working visit to the center sector of the capital, where he inspected the renovation sites of the square on V. Dokuceaev Street, 11, Telecentru neighborhood, as well as the underpass near the South - West Bus Station. The Mayor also visited the area under the bridge at the intersection of Miorita Street with Hancești Road, where the largest mural in the city is arranged, which fully includes the elements of the country brand of the Republic of Moldova, "Pomul Vietii".

The works on the site of the square in V. Dokuceaev Street, 11 are executed in proportion of 30% of the required volume as the representatives of the District’s City Hall the informed. Thus, the network for night lighting was installed in the square and technical works were carried out on the green spaces. Currently, the workers are rehabilitating the access stairs to the Family Physicians Center No. 7.

According to the approved project, the renovation of the public space also provides for the installation of the automated system for irrigating green areas, as well as a video surveillance system for the public space. About 30 parking spaces will be arranged on the perimeter of the square, provided for the visitors of the medical institution.

Also, the municipal authorities have started the rehabilitation works of the underpass on the Hancesti road in the area of the South-West Bus Station. Currently, the interior walls and stairs are being repaired. The renewal of this objective is achieved through the contribution of an economic agent in the sector and involves the use of modern technologies in construction, which have not been applied so far.

The underground passage will have a video monitoring system, decorative lighting, as well as access ramps for people with reduced mobility, and the access stairs will be covered.

In this context, the General Mayor asked the officials to monitor the progress of the works on each site, in order not to allow the performance of low-quality works, in compliance with the deadlines for project execution.

At the same time, the Mayor visited the area under the bridge at Telecentru, where the mural painting works are being completed.

"On September 16, we intend to launch the area that fully includes the elements of the tourist brand of the Republic of Moldova -" Pomul Vietii ". We are currently working on modernizing the night lighting in the area and installing video surveillance cameras. The national campaign #NeamPornit is a unique project, without precedent, a tourist concept that celebrates our traditions with authentic and unexplored experiences ", the Mayor said.

It is worth mentioning that the General Mayor will inspect the ongoing projects in all sectors of the capital.
