Chisinau Municipality represented at the 6th UNESCO International Conference of Learning Cities
The General Mayor of Chisinau municipality, Ion Ceban, visited the Ambassadors of the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Turkey, accredited in the Republic of Moldova.
During the first meeting, the Chinese diplomat wanted to congratulate Ion Ceban on the occasion of his election as the Mayor of Chisinau municipality, while also ensuring a bilateral cooperation based on different development projects.
In his turn, the general Mayor, Ion Ceban, mentioned about the importance of collaboration with all the states, so that Chisinau becomes a developed city, because the municipality has an investment potential, which unfortunately was not emphasized. "Chisinau needs help and partnerships for modernizing parks, developing infrastructure, rehabilitating historic buildings and implementing economic and social projects," the Mayor said.
Ion Ceban also informed the Chinese diplomat about the prospect of digitizing the City Hall services, this being proposed for implementation during the next year.
In this context, the Chinese Ambassador, Mr. Zhang YINGHONG reiterated the opening and stated that his country intends to cooperate with the Chisinau City Hall, and will shortly come up with concrete projects that can be carried out in the municipality.
The officials, wanted to point out about the achievements obtained, based on the good relations of collaboration, established in the fields: trade, education, as well as other social projects and assistance.
At the second meeting, with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Halil Gürol SÖKMENSÜER, the mayor received congratulations on his election as the Mayor. The two officials, wanted to point out about the achievements obtained, based on the good relations of collaboration, established in the fields: trade, education, as well as other social projects and assistance.
In the dialogue with the Turkish diplomat, Ion Ceban, mentioned that Chisinau is willing to continue the collaboration on other development areas, which will be based on investment partnerships.
Also, the Turkish Ambassador reconfirmed the opening for a better collaboration for the future, with the new administration of Chisinau City Hall. "I am pleasantly surprised that lately, more and more I see the openness from all countries and their desire to collaborate with the Chisinau City Hall."
