Chisinau City Hall submitted the file for obtaining funding in the form of a grant from the European Commission, within the funding program "Partnerships for sustainable cities in the Sothern and Eastern Neighborhood", for projects in the field of municipal public transport.

Thus, the city of Chisinau has real chances to become part of the project "MOVIE IT like Lublin" - "Chisinau public transport sustainable development initiative", focused on integrated urban development through partnerships established between local authorities in EU Member States and partner countries.

The project represents the development of the public transport system in Chisinau according to the model of organizing public transport in the city of Lublin (Poland), with an eligible budget for activities of 3.5 million Euros, which also includes the co-financing part of the municipality of 5% total.

The relevant municipal subdivisions will ensure the transmission of the necessary information for the preparation of the financing application, and the completion of the application file will be ensured with the support of the Project "Sustainable Green Cities for Moldova - Green City Lab".
