The General Mayor of Chisinau municipality, Mr. Ion Ceban, visited  the Ukrainian capital, Kiev.

Mr. Ion Ceban discussed with his Ukrainian counterpart, in an informal atmosphere, about the prospects for collaboration between our capitals. Kiev has a beautiful experience on implementing the concept of smart city, modernizing the housing-communal infrastructure, in the field of transport, social policies, as well as in other spheres of activity.

Mr. Vitali Klitschko congratulated the mayor of Chisinau on his new position as Mayor of the capital and wished him success.

For Friday evening, the Mayors have agreed for a meeting at the Kiev City Hall, where will be presented the single command center of the entire municipal infrastructure. Also, officials will discuss further cooperation between Chisinau and Kiev.

The agenda for Saturday, December 7, of the 2 mayors is planned for  outings on the field, but also for discussions on successful projects and programs, implemented in the last period in Kiev. Also, topics will be addressed about the challenges of the Kiev administration regarding the modernization of the city, as well as an exchange of views on the subject.

In this context, it is worth mentioning that Ion Ceban and Vitali Kliciko agreed on the need to update, in the near future, the Cooperation Agreement between Chisinau and Kiev, which is no longer functional.
