Chisinau Municipality represented at the 6th UNESCO International Conference of Learning Cities
The Chisinau City Hall and the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a Memorandum of Understanding on strengthening business relations and developing mutual cooperation.
The aim of the partnership is to strengthen business relations between Chisinau and Budapest, which can improve the implementation of mutual economic objectives.
In this context, the Chisinau City Hall will organize in partnership with the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry various activities: exhibitions, conferences and seminars. At the same time, the parties will initiate infrastructure projects, assistance programs in the medical, economic, trade fields.
The General Mayor, Ion Ceban, mentioned that the members of the Budapest Chamber of Commerce are internationally companies in the field of law, real estate, tourism, air transport, infrastructure, finance and IT, and their experience could be useful for the city of Chisinau.
"Hungary has a high industrial potential, so we will be able to consult qualified experts and engineers from different fields. Such cooperation will attract Hungarian investors for projects such as: street lighting, the aqueduct modernization and sewerage network infrastructure, wastewater treatment plants, as well as cooperation with Danube Region Intelligent Water Industry Cluster. We are glad that we have the opportunity to collaborate and exchange experience with different countries. We want to take over the best practices from the developed cities, in order to be able to implement them in Chisinau ", mentioned the Mayor.
In his turn, Mr.Miklos Bornemisza, vice-president of the International Cabinet of the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry, noted that Hungarian banks are ready to provide financing on favorable terms for the realization and financing of several joint projects in Chisinau.
It is worth mentioning that about 50 companies with Hungarian capital operate in the Republic of Moldova.
