The City Hall reports that between January 23 and 24,  an official delegation from the city of Konya, Republic of Turkey is on a working visit to Chisinau.

The Turkish delegation includes the Secretary General of Konya Municipality, the Head of the Department of Parks and Public Gardens, the General Director of the Authority for Water and Sewerage, Public Works and Engineers but also the Co-President of the Konya Chamber of Commerce.

The meeting of the municipal authorities of Chisinau and Konya takes place in the context of establishing cooperation relations in December 2019, during the visit of the Mayor's office in Turkey.

Within two days, the Turkish delegation, together with representatives of the Rascani, Buiucani, Botanica Districts and enterprises' managers, will visit several strategic objectives in Chisinau, which will be rehabilitated in complexity. These include public gardens and relaxation areas.

In this context, the general mayor of the capital, Ion Cheban, mentioned that several projects are being prepared for implementation in collaboration with the Turkish side. "We appreciate the support from Konya city and  believe that their experience and the support they will decide to offer us will be useful, because we have a list of projects that need to be developed and implemented," said the mayor.
