The mayor of the Chisinau municipality Ion Ceban, on a working visit to Israel, met on Tuesday with his colleague from the city of Tel Aviv, Ron Hulday.

According to Ion Ceban, the parties held a constructive conversation, during which priorities for cooperation between the two cities were identified. In addition, they agreed to update the Twinning Agreement, signed in 2000 between Chisinau and Tel Aviv. Moreover, the two mayors of the capitals discussed a joint plan of activities, which will be further implemented.

The mayor of Chisinau was received openly by colleagues from Tel Aviv, which were proposed to help the municipality to carry out expertise in various fields, as well as in implementing projects in the field of local public administration, infrastructure, business environment and medicine.

Ion Ceban mentioned that Israel is an international leader in the field of technologies, cyber security, the computerized technology use in medicine and the innovations and management implemented in the cities of this country could also be applied in Chisinau.

These days, the general Mayor is participating in The International Forum on Urbanism in Israel. More than 100 mayors from around the world are invited to the forum.
