The Chisinau Municipality was represented at the World Urban Forum held in Cairo, Egypt
Chisinau City Hall informs that on Monday, April 20th, 2020, the portal "Educatieonline.md" was launched, a project realized at the initiative of local authorities in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research. The online library was created to ensure the process of distance learning for all students in Chisinau and also in the republic.
The platform will contain about 2500 video courses, at the first stage and at the second stage - about 4500 lessons including 15 school subjects for students of grades: I-XII, real and humanistic profile.
Over 300 teachers from 69 educational institutions are involved in developing the video content of the courses for the study disciplines. Teachers are guided by several teams of experts, coordinators, operators and volunteers.
The courses recorded in video format represent the subject of study that remains to be taught until the end of the 2019-2020 school year according to the national curriculum. It is a useful alternative for students, parents and teachers. For 10 days, the "Online Education" platform is in the testing phase after which it will be available to users: teachers, students and parents.
On Tuesday, during the weekly meeting, Ion Ceban, the General Mayor thanked the teachers and all the collaborators involved in recording the online lessons mentioning that a lot of work was done. Subsequently, the General Mayor visited the studios at the Technical University of Moldova where the courses are recorded to ensure that the process is organized as planned.
The Mayor of the capital expressed his hope that the online lessons will be broadcast through cable television and IPTV operators for a good accessibility for all children.
