The Chisinau Municipality was represented at the World Urban Forum held in Cairo, Egypt
The Deputy Mayor of the Capital, Angela Cutasevici, had a working meeting with representatives of the NGO "Open Gate International", where they discussed initiatives and projects related to social inclusion of children with disabilities.
Deidre Pujols, Founder and Chief Catalyst, Leonie Webster, International Director and Counselor, and Alina Druță, Director of Open Gate Moldova, attended the meeting.
During the discussions, important topics were discussed on strengthening the professional capacities of child protection employees, expanding social services for families with children, and the creation of a Complex of services for children with disabilities.
A visit was also made to the Rehabilitation Center for Children with Disabilities "Atentie", where the need to develop a network of social services to effectively meet the needs of this vulnerable category was discussed.
"The municipality aims to provide a full spectrum of services for people with special needs, facilitating their access to necessary services. Partnerships between the municipal authorities and civil society are important for the development of new services in line with quality standards," emphasized Angela Cutasevici.
Chisinau City Hall continues to invest in creating optimal living conditions for people with disabilities, working with dedicated international organizations to implement projects that contribute to the development of an inclusive society.
