Message of the General Mayor, Ion Ceban, after the validation of the local elections of November 5.

"Today the general local elections for the Municipality of Chisinau were validated. We continue to work for the development of the Capital, as we have done in all the 4 years of our mandate. It is probably the longest period of election validation and I hope it was due to technical situations and not for any other purpose. I want to believe, however, in the fairness of the process. On the various attacks and anti-campaigns, the use of administrative resources, the experts, observation missions and legal specialists, who noted all the deviations and forwarded them to the competent bodies, are going to report," Ion Ceban said.

The elected mayor of the capital thanked all residents for their support, noting the responsibility he has, as this is the first time in the last 20 years that the general local elections in Chisinau have been won by a candidate in the first round.

The mayor said that he will continue to carry out the projects started together with the residents of Chisinau and its suburbs. "Starting today I will initiate discussions with representatives of all parties that have access to the City Council. I am not talking about alliances, I am talking about constructiveness in the CMC - for the city, the suburbs and the residents, for the goals that have been set. We will discuss with party representatives in the City Hall or I will go to each one separately.

As I announced earlier, we are ready to implement 60% of the electoral programs of PAS and PSRM, but also to implement projects proposed by the other parties. My intention is to have constructive, objective and non-populist meetings in the CMC, because we have work to do in the next 4 years and the residents expect results. Next, after discussions, the first meeting of the new CMC will most likely be held in early December", Ion Ceban said.
