Today the Mayor General, had a meeting with Annalena Baerbock, the German Minister of Foreign Affairs and Nicu Popescu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova. The officials' meeting was held at the Moldexpo.

The three officials visited pavilions where refugees are housed, mostly women with children, the elderly and people with special needs.

The mayor talked about the services offered by the municipality: psychological, legal, medical assistance, transport insurance and meal three times a day, including Swedish buffet.

At the same time, Annalena Baerbock came with humanitarian support from the German government (sleeping bags, folding beds).

"Furthermore, all municipal entities are fully involved in the management of the refugee crisis in Ukraine. We do our best to ensure the necessary for the over 4000 people currently accommodated in all the centers arranged in the capital. We thank the partners who contribute and help us in this difficult situation ", said Ion Ceban.

According to official data, more than 14,300 refugees were registered at the "Moldexpo" and accommodated in various placement centers.

In Chisinau are located 45 placement centers opened by the Chisinau City Hall or state and private partners.
