The High Commissioner for Diaspora Relations of the Republic of Armenia, Zareh Sinanyan, was received on Wednesday by Mayor Ion Ceban at the Chisinau City Hall.
The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Moldova, H.E. Vladimir Karapetyan, the Honorary Consul of Armenia in Chisinau, Tatul Davoyan and the Deputy Mayor of the capital, Olga Ursu.
The dialogue between the parties focused on reviewing the current development projects in the capital, as well as deepening the cooperation relations between the Municipality of Chisinau and Armenia. In this context, the Armenian diplomats thanked the municipality for its long-standing support to the Armenian diaspora in Chisinau.
At the same time, they discussed the initiation of cooperation projects in the cultural and educational fields, in particular taking into account the experience of the capital in the framework of the project for the promotion of culture and national traditions under the title Days of Chisinau abroad.
According to Ion Ceban, such initiatives to support the diaspora and maintain dialogue with the communities can be organised by both sides in Chisinau and Yerevan.
In this context, Zareh Sinanyan expressed his interest in developing cooperation relations between the two capitals, Chisinau and Yerevan, and in organising the Armenian Culture Days project in Chisinau.
