Chisinau City Hall informs that the study block of the "Mihail Lomonosov" Theoretical High School is being rehabilitated.
The project to modernise the building of the educational institution, which includes the insulation of the facade, the equipping of the second floor and the connection to the Internet network, is financially supported by World Vision. The building's capital repair work will be completed with the opening of 12 new classrooms.
In this context, the Deputy Mayor of Chisinau Municipality, Mrs. Angela Cutasevici, together with partners from World Vision paid a working visit to the institution to see the level of completion of the rehabilitation works.
Angela Cutasevici noted that education remains a priority for the Chisinau City Hall, and school infrastructure rehabilitation projects always remain on the LPA's agenda, given their significance and long-term impact for the community.
"In this sense, the collaboration with World Vision in Moldova is a relevant example of success and a formula to address the pressing needs related to the expansion of the educational network", said the deputy mayor.
The partnership with "World Vision" was established in the context of supporting refugee children from Ukraine, who chose to study in the educational complex "Mihail Lomonosov".
At present, the "Mihail Lomonosov" Theoretical High School consists of high school classes and a kindergarten block, which is attended by 91 children. The institution has a continuous demand, both from the community and from refugees.
Currently, 866 refugee children are enrolled in educational institutions in Chisinau.
