The general mayor of Chisinau Municipality, Ion Ceban, undertakes between 27 and 28 January, current, a working visit to the city of Saint Petersburg, the Russian Federation.
During Monday's day, the capital's General Mayor attended the ceremony commemorating the victims of the Leningrad blockade, when it is 76 years old after the liberation of Russia's northern capital.
Ion Ceban, together with Saint Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov and the President of the Council of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matvienko, laid flowers at the Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetery, where about 490 thousand civilians and soldiers, who are victims of the war. In addition, from the Chisinau delegation, Nina Maxim, a participant of the Leningrad blockade in 1941-1944, was present at the commemoration ceremony.
Note that the Chisinau' Mayor is on a working visit at the invitation of the St. Petersburg Governor, Alexander Beglov.
Within two days, Ion Ceban will have several official meetings at the level of the St. Petersburg administration.
