Chisinau waste management is one of the current concerns of the Chisinau Local Public Administration.

Thus, in order to develop a new policy document on solid waste management at municipal level, a working group was created, consisting of representatives of the City Hall, heads of structural subdivisions, municipal councilors, representatives of the business environment, experts in domain and representatives of civil society.

A disposition to this effect was signed by Ion Ceban, General Mayor.

The general aim of the Commission is to develop the concept of waste management in Chisinau. Also, the newly formed Group is to draw up the Municipal Waste Management Plan and the Regulation on the organization and functioning of the public sanitation service.

Furthermore, the nominated specialists will examine and coordinate the Feasibility Study on the opportunity of implementing the public-private partnership "Optimizing the waste management service by granting the sorting of solid waste from Chisinau".

The chairman of the working group was appointed Ilie Ceban, Deputy Mayor.
