The Public Medical Institution Municipal Clinical Hospital No.1 will be named after Academician Gheorghe Paladi

The Chisinau City Hall reports that the Municipal Clinical Hospital No. 1 will be named after Academician Mr Gheorghe Paladi. The decision on this regard was made on Tuesday by the Chisinau Municipal Council at the proposal of the General Mayor Ion Ceban as a sign of gratitude to the exceptional doctor for his contribution to the medical field.

Academician Gheorghe Paladi, university professor, is the founder of obstetrics and gynecology service in the Republic of Moldova. He also owns the idea of founding the Institute for Mother and Child in the mid-1960s, for more than 70 years he has been working in the Municipal Clinical Hospital No. 1 in the capital.

General Mayor  Ion Ceban noted that the  Academician Gheorghe Paladi is a person with rare decency, a valuable scientist. Remain a good example for future generations of doctors. "Hardworking and dedicated to their profession people are always valued, and if they are doctors who treat and save human lives every day, their merits cannot be overestimated."

Gheorghe Paladi, academician, university professor, obstetrician, habilitated doctor in medicine, Knight of the Republic Order, is ninety years old, and still remains faithful to his profession.

The new name of the medical institution on 20 Melestiu Street is "The Public Medical Institution Municipal Clinical Hospital No.1 Gheorghe Paladi" will be registered within 30 days at the Public Services Agency.
