The Chisinau City Hall celebrates today, April 27, the Day of the State Flag of the Republic of Moldova.

The Tricolour became the National Flag of the Republic of Moldova on 27 April 1990, when it was hoisted on the Parliament building by the late Deputy Gheorghe Ghimpu.

Tricolour Day was proclaimed a national holiday in 2010, on the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Tricolour as the State Flag of the Republic of Moldova.
