Chisinau City Hall informs that local authorities and citizens of Budesti, Tohatin, Cruzesti and Colonita, participated on Wednesday in a working meeting with specialists from the Russian Federation, involved in the working out process of the socio-economic development strategy of Chisinau, part of the land use planning.

Thus, the Russian experts managed to understand the needs of the people from the four suburban localities, by initiating discussions on activities concerning the functioning and accessibility of the infrastructure of the localities for the benefit and convenience of the citizens.

Also, during the debates were analyzed aspects such as: facilitating the fast connection between localities, rethinking and building the main roads, modifying the routes for public transport, etc.

In this context, the General Mayor, Ion Ceban, urged the representatives of the suburbs to actively participate in the discussions so that in the end the City Hall can obtain a real document, in the interest of the municipality, to be accepted by the inhabitants.

"This stage of work requires a wide participatory process, involving stakeholders from different spheres of activity: economic, social, scientific community, experts, the associative sector, but also citizens from the capital and suburbs," said the Mayor.

The land use planning of Chisinau is a strategic document that will establish the vision and priorities for the development of the capital over a longer period of time.

We remind you that the activities for the elaboration of the Plan started in June 2020, and the process provides for extensive documentation of the situation. The first phase has been completed and consists of substantiation studies.

The team of specialists from the Russian Federation will be in Chisinau between: February 1-8, 2021 and will have on the agenda several interview sessions with experts from different fields, in order to develop project proposals, within the second stage of work on the land use planning.
