The Municipality of Chisinau is organizing public discussions on the project "Strategy for the Development of Internal Trade in the Municipality of Chisinau “TRADE – 2030” and the Implementation Action Plan." Consultations with citizens, NGOs, and the business community are scheduled for November 29 - 30 and December 05 - 08, 2023, at the prefectures.

The General Directorate of Economy, Trade, and Tourism invites the business community, representatives of professional associations, civil society, and other stakeholders to participate in public discussions on the Project of the Strategy for the Development of Internal Trade in Chisinau "Trade – 2030."

The goal of the Strategy is to establish priority directions in the development of goods and services trade that will contribute to improving the commercial infrastructure in the municipality, modernizing the forms of product/service distribution/marketing in the market, meeting consumer needs, and implementing the best international practices.

The Strategy describes the current situation in the field, the vision, principles, strategic objectives, and actions necessary for the modernization and continuous development of the institutional framework and rules of internal trade in the Chisinau municipality.

The document will contribute to the development of Chisinau as the capital, providing an attractive business environment and favorable conditions for the development of internal trade, managed by transparent administration that efficiently responds to the needs of consumers and the business environment, in accordance with international standards and practices.

During the meeting, the following will be presented:

• Results of the survey among traders and consumers,
• Strategic and operational objectives,
• The Action Plan for the implementation of the Trade 2030 Strategy.

Public discussions will take place in the meeting room of the sector prefectures, according to the following schedule:

Centru Prefecture, on November 29, 2023, at 14:00;

Buiucani Prefecture, on November 30, 2023, at 14:00;

Botanica Prefecture, on December 5, 2023, at 14:00;

Ciocana Prefecture, on December 7, 2023, at 14:00;

Râșcani Prefecture, on December 8, 2023, at 14:00.
