General Mayor Ion Ceban, who is on a working visit to Vienna, took part on Thursday in the works of the 13th edition of the annual Forum of the European Strategy for the Danube Region.

The event is organized by the Municipality of Vienna, with which Chisinau has established friendly relations and cooperation in various fields.

Together with the Mayor of Vienna, Michael Ludwig and other invited mayors from various capitals and cities, Ion Ceban participated in a panel entitled "Cooperation in the Danube Region: Now more than ever", where they discussed with decision-makers from various cities and states about "Cities as transformation hubs".

The General Mayor spoke about Chisinau, the development of our capital, challenges and future projects.

Ion Ceban expressed his hope that such meetings, which facilitate the exchange of experience and opinions between managers of capitals/cities, should be organized more frequently.

"It is an honor for us to talk about Chisinau at as many international events as possible. Chisinau has become visible and has more and more development partners", the mayor of the capital city added.
