Chisinau City Hall informs that during the past week, the capital’s road workers have carried out various maintenance works on the road infrastructure to increase traffic safety, such as: fixing damages by filling potholes in the asphalt, applying road markings and installing road signs, washing the road, lowering curbs, etc.
A total of some 3,600 m2 of road surface has been fixed and other areas have been prepared for asphalting this week. The work has been carried out mainly on access roads to courtyards and educational institutions, on municipal public transport arteries and on other public roads.
At the same time, 235 storm water catchments and outlets were cleaned, washed or repaired.
Particular attention was paid to the cleaning and washing of the city's main roads.
In order to ensure traffic safety in the city of Chisinau and its suburbs, road workers continued the renovation of road markings at pedestrian crossings, lane separation and orientation markings, as well as at public transport waiting stations, on a total area of over 1,400 m².
At the same time, 54 road signs have been installed or repaired throughout the city.
