Ion Ceban, the General Mayor, has participated on Monday at the official inauguration of the football stadium at the Theoretical High School “Mihai Viteazul” from the capital. At the event were also attended: the group of the pupils and teachers of the school, representatives of General Direction of Education, Youth and Sport and of Moldovan Football Federation, journalists and others.

The cost of the arrangement works is about one million lei, money allocated from the municipal budget. The goal was achieved with the contribution of the Moldovan Football Federation, which provided the artificial turf cover. At the same time, the General Department of Housing and Communal Services carried out the works for the arrangement of the stadium surface and installed a modern lighting system.

The football field of high school “Mihai Viteazul” recently inaugurated, it is one of the six, for which the repair works started last year  („Mihai Viteazul" HS „Nicolae Gogol" HS, „Gaudeamus" HS, „Nicolae Iorga" HS „George Călinescu” HS and „Liviu Deleanu" HS).

 The General Mayor, Ion Ceban, wanted to congratulate the teaching staff of the educational institution on the occasion of the last school day, appreciating the effort of the teachers who worked in specific conditions due to the pandemic situation with COVID-19.

"We believe that the investment made together with FMF will contribute to the spread of the sport among students. The purpose of the Chisinau LPA for the next period is to modernize this infrastructure of educational institutions, to restore specialized classes and to offer children the opportunity to develop multidisciplinary. Thanks to everyone which has involved. The initiatives can become a reality, if we all work together ", said the Mayor

The next football stadium with artificial turf will be inaugurated at the High School “N. Gogol” HS.
