Chisinau Municipality represented at the 6th UNESCO International Conference of Learning Cities
Chisinau City Hall reports that currently, 1,398 refugee children from Ukraine are enrolled in 48 educational institutions in the capital, which is an increase of 9 students compared to the previous week.
The Deputy Mayor of the capital, Angela Cutasevici, stated that 399 Ukrainian children, aged between 2 and 7, are attending 62 preschools in Chisinau, 25 more than last week.
According to current data, their distribution by grade level is as follows:
- Grades 1-4: 638 students
- Grades 5-9: 687 students
- Grades 10-12: 73 students
As for age groups in preschools, the data shows the following:
- 2 years old: 17 children
- 3 years old: 87 children
- 4 years old: 97 children
- 5 years old: 115 children
- 6 years old: 82 children
- 7 years old: 1 child
We reiterate that Chisinau City Hall continues to provide support and resources to integrate refugee children into the educational community, ensuring they have access to education and age-appropriate activities.
