Chisinau Municipality represented at the 6th UNESCO International Conference of Learning Cities
As a result of the dialogue with the Chisinau City Hall, the representative of the International Organization "People In Need", showed its willingness to offer financial support to the municipality, in order to implement an energy efficiency program in one of the municipal educational institutions, which hosts refugee children from Ukraine. The move comes as the refugee crisis continues to put pressure on the capital's education system.
Thus, Deputy Mayor Angela Cutasevici, together with partners from People In Need, visited 3 educational institutions in Chisinau municipality, in order to identify a beneficiary for the energy efficiency program. In the target were: the High School "Titu Maiorescu", High School "Matei Basarab" and Gymnasium no. 52.
At the same time, "People In Need" Moldova comes with a proposal to open a Digital Study Centre for children from Ukraine.
The aim of this initiative is to set up a Digital Learning Center for the formal education of Ukrainian refugee children.
The Digital Learning Centres will be equipped with 10-20 laptops and IT materials, together with the necessary furniture and safety equipment. They will facilitate children's participation in secondary school courses available on the All Ukraine Online platform.
