Chisinau City Hall informs that the feeding system of children in kindergartens and public schools in the capital will be reviewed.

In this regard, Municipal councilors approved on Tuesday the establishment of a working group on the reorganization of the child feeding system in the pre-primary, primary and secondary institutions of the municipality.

The working group includes Deputy Mayors Mrs. Angela Cutasevici and  Mrs. Inga Ionesii, representatives of the General Department of Education, of the Finance Department, municipal councilors, representatives of the National Agency for Food Safety etc.

The working group should develop the concept of reorganizing the  children's nutrition in the public schools and kindergartens from municipality by 20 August 2020, and the conclusions formulated by experts will be presented to the public and to the civil society.

The Chisinau's Local Public Administration initiative to overhaul the existing nutrition system in schools and kindergartens is aimed at providing a balanced and healthy diet for the young generation.

It should be mentioned that since June, this year, the municipality has on its agenda a new concept of feeding children in educational institutions in the capital (schools and kindergartens), which provides for the revision and modernization of the existing system, logistics and purchase in kindergartens, will be carried out by outsourcing food procurement procedures.
