Chisinau City Hall informs that the municipal services have promptly intervened on Saturday and Sunday to evacuate fallen branches and, in some cases, fallen trees on the territory of the city, as a result of the rains and strong winds over the weekend.
In this context, Ilie Ceban, the Deputy Mayor of the capital, asked on Monday, during the operational meeting of the municipal services, that the services in charge should be ready to intervene in the coming days, given that the meteorologists are again forecasting rain and wind.
At the same time, in order to avoid possible flooding of streets, access roads or residential blocks' courtyards, as a result of the rains, the employees of the municipal household services will also be involved in the cleaning of rainwater drains, requested Deputy Mayor Ilie Ceban.
Over the past two days, municipal officials have been present in all sectors of the capital to clean up the areas affected by the wind and rain, and these measures will continue in the event of other similar problems.
In the case of any problem situations in the context of weather conditions, citizens of the city are urged to call the Municipal Central Dispatch, tel. (022) 22-22-67, (022) 22-26-04 or call the emergency number 112.
