The Chisinau city hall informs that the city authorities will provide schemes for placing an art exhibition on the pedestrian alley along Columna street for temporary relocation of traders in paintings, souvenirs and handmade crafts who worked in the square of the Mihai Eminescu theater in the center city. Last week, Deputy Mayor Inga Ionesii held a discussion with the sellers, so the initiative was agreed by both sides.
On Monday, during the weekly meeting, the Deputy Mayor clarified that the trading places will be offered for a period of 30 days, during which the possibility of a new location for sellers of paintings and Souvenirs will be checked. "We want to create an arts alley in Chisinau, which will serve as an attraction for tourists. Also in the future, we intend to include the pedestrian street Eugen Doga in this project, " Inga Ionesii said.
Recall that the initiative to rehabilitate the square from the national theater "Mihai Eminescu" belongs to the General Mayor, Ion Ceban in order to honor the great poet of our literature, as well as to offer a place for the city's dwellers recreation. At the same time, the working group within the municipality is working on the modernizing the square concept.
