The Chisinau Municipality was represented at the World Urban Forum held in Cairo, Egypt
Chisinau City Hall informs that for the first time since the beginning of the CoVID-19 pandemic, children from 2 to 4 years old who have not previously attended the pre-school institution have been institutionalized in kindergartens in the capital.
Thus, between 2 and 6 November, 1757 children from 2 to 3 years old were enrolled in kindergartens in 134 groups and 3481 children from 3 to 4 years old in 166 groups. In total, new groups were opened in 121 early education institutions in Chisinau.
Also, the General Department of Education, Youth and Sports evaluated and monitored 30 kindergartens in terms of compliance with anti-COVID rules, being registered the following deviations:
· Inadequately equipped non-teaching staff;
· Access gates in institutions open throughout the day;
· Non-compliance by parents with the arrival/departure schedule of the early education institutions;
· lack of announcements in the courtyard of the institutions, with information for parents.
Currently, early education institutions in the capital are attended by 32,107 children.
