The Chisinau City Hall informs that the General Department for Communal Housing  and  Landscaping has recently purchased several technical and equipment units for the endowment of special vehicles, involved in the mechanized cleaning works and snow removal works of the capital. The cost of purchase is about 7 million lei, the funds were allocated from the municipal budget. 

 Thus, the new batch of street special equipment will be distributed to municipal enterprises for housing services in the five districts of the capital and will be used for intervention on sidewalks and in the courtyards of blocks,  both during the hot period, and for snow removal, in the cold period.

The purchase consists of: street vacuum cleaners - 5 units; trailers for large tractors - 5 units; brushes for mini loader - 5 units; blades for mini-loader - 5 pieces; sand and salt spreaders for the mini loader - 5 pieces; High-pressure washing equipment for the mini loader - 3 pieces; containers for construction and demolition waste  (DCD) -30 pieces.

In this context, Ion Ceban, General Mayor, mentioned that with the purchase of these types of equipment which are necessary for the special vehicles endowment, the intervention period of the public communal services will be shorter, and therefore the services will be better.

 At the same time, since the beginning of this year, the General Department for Communal Housing and  Landscaping has purchased 50 mowers for the maintenance of public spaces and block yards.
