Chisinau City Hall informs that during the period: 27 May - 02 June 2024, the employees of the municipal enterprise Regia "Exdrupo" have intervened with maintenance works and liquidation of damage situations on several municipal roads, through massive milling and filling with hot asphalt.

Thus, in the city's sectors, hot asphalt fillings were carried out on a total area of about 3800m², and other areas were prepared for asphalting this week.

The largest volume of work was carried out on blvd. Mircea cel Batrin (Petru Zadnipru - Ion Dumeniuk Streets), but also on Alba Iulia Street, where preparation works for the application of Slurry Seal bituminous treatment are taking place.

The spectrum of works includes: milling and asphalting of worn asphalt sections, repair or replacement of kerbs, repair of storm sewers and other networks in the road area by raising to road level, replacement of manholes / manholes.

At the same time, at the intersection of Socoleni and Calea Orheiului Streets, works were carried out to widen the carriageway for the construction of a new turning lane, and on the streets: Nicolae Dimo, Stefan Neaga and Gheorghe Casu, work was done on the pavements, with the installation of kerbs and gravel.

An increased effort was made in the previous week to remove the consequences of the heavy rain. Road workers cleared more than 3,000 gratings and stormwater receptacles of leaves, rubbish and silt that had accumulated during the downpours.

Alongside this work, the city's main and side streets were cleaned and 86 litter removal runs were carried out.

At the same time, 22 major thoroughfares were washed of mud.

In order to increase traffic safety, intensive work has been carried out over the past week in all parts of the city to renew road markings, which were applied on a total area of about 2500 m².

In addition, 83 road signs were repaired.

As part of the projects contracted by the General Department for Urban Mobility, work continued on the capital repair of the bridge on Mihai Viteazul Street, and in Botanica and Riscani sectors work continued on the rehabilitation of accesses to educational institutions.

The works include pavements, curbs, paving of the roadway and entrances to staircases.

Also in the Botanica sector, work is being carried out to complete the section of Botanica Blvd. Decebal Street, where the pedestrian area (Dacia Boulevard and Nicolae Zelinski Street) is being repaired.
