The Chisinau Municipality was represented at the World Urban Forum held in Cairo, Egypt
The General Mayor, Ion Ceban, had a meeting on Wednesday with the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Marcel Ciolacu and with the Vice President of the Romanian Senate, Paul Stănescu.
During the talks, the Mayor of Chisinau thanked the leaders of the Romanian Parliament for the support provided by the neighbouring state of the Republic of Moldova, in various fields, including infrastructure, education, social, culture, etc.
At the same time, in his capacity as Vice President of the Congress of Local Authorities of Moldova (CALM), Ion Ceban wished to thank the Romanian side on behalf of all Mayors for the grant of 100 million Euros, intended for new projects and programs for the benefit of citizens Republic of Moldova.
During the same meeting, other topics were addressed, including the multiple collaborations and projects that Chisinau has with various cities and regions in Romania. In this context, the Mayor General called for the expansion of these initiatives in Chisinau and the suburbs.
In other news, Ion Ceban referred to the topic of the launch and prospects of the National Alternative Movement (NAM), but also on the potential for collaboration of the capital with the Romanian side.
