The General Mayor, Ion Ceban, participated today at the solemn gathering dedicated to the first bell ringing at the „ Elena Alistar ” Theoretical High School with an Arts Profile.

In the congratulatory message addressed to students, teachers and parents, on the occasion of the new academic year 2023-2024, Ion Ceban declared that this institution is a pillar for the education of the young generation, at the same time being an example of involvement and self-sacrifice at national and regional level.

In this context, the City hall has promised that it will contribute to the refurbishment of the high school's event hall, considering the school's art profile, which requires a separate, well-arranged space for extracurricular activities.

At the "Elena Alistar" Theoretical High School in the Botanica sector, 1075 students, organized in 36 classes, study. The institution's staff is composed of 70 teaching staff and 35 units of auxiliary staff.

In the last 4 years, the school has benefited from 2 large projects financed by LPA Chisinau: the thermal rehabilitation and energy efficiency of the building and the expansion of the food block, and in 2024 a separate hall for festivities is to be set up.

In the years 2020-2023, approximately 10.8 million MDL were invested in consolidation and major repairs of the building, while for the expansion of the dining block and the acquisition of furniture and equipment for the dining block, the municipality allocated over 11 million MDL during the years 2022-2023.
